Opti-Harvest™

Opti-Harvest is an agricultural innovation company, the goal of which is to develop and market an innovative line of products that are “climate smart,” and help growers maximize production, optimize their land and labor forces, and use water as efficiently as possible.

The products are constructed of recyclable HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), one of the most versatile plastic materials available anywhere. They enable commercial growers of high-value specialty crops to make better use of sun-light — our planet’s most fundamental, renewable, and free resource.

Our products were developed by Ph.D. scientists and are designed for commercial farming. Currently, there are three product lines available from the company.

Opti-Gro^TM

These individual growth chambers shadings from adjacent plants, and help to minimize labor costs by naturally training vines onto the trellis system.

The chambers create an optimized light and microclimate which work together to protect vines from wind, frost, pests, hail and heat damage.

The accelerated growth allows more production in a shorter amount of time.

Opti-Panels^TM

These panels, designed for existing as well as newly built trellising systems, also protect plants from damage due to heat, frost, hail, wind, and decay, but with the added benefit of reducing the amount of labor necessary for vine training, pruning, and the removal of leaves.

Finally, by converting natural sunlight into scattered red-enriched light, these panels give plants the most productive rays of the sun.

Opti-Shield^TM

These shields work by reflecting and scattering the sun’s light which has been red-enriched toward young trees, evenly distributing this part of the visible spectrum which is most stimulating to the plants.

In addition the structure of the Opti-Shields creates a microclimate that protects the plants from wind. Combined with the other benefits, this protection serves to lengthen the typical growing period, protects plants from stress, and repels pests.
